Lone Star State
Welcome to Texas, or Tejas, was the Spanish pronunciation of a Caddo Indian word meaning "friends" or "allies." Texas is called the "Lone Star State" because of the design of the state flag: a broad vertical blue stripe at left centered by a single white star, and at right, horizontal bars of white and red.
The weather up here is mostly sunny, a breeze is easily felt on the more flatter areas of the country, however later on during the evening the temperature drops around ten or fifteen degrees. Tornadoes happen maybe every few months, and heavy rainfall is often enough, maybe every week and a half to two weeks.
